RecSpecs Slam XL
Certified protection on the field or on the court. The Slam XL meets or exceeds ASTM F803 impact resistance for several sports such as baseball, basketball, tennis, soccer and more. To top it off, the Slam has TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) over-molding on the eye rims for a more comfortable fit against the face [and is shock-absorbing] as well as on the temples.

Standard Plastic Lenses:
Standard Plastic Lenses, also known as CR-39 Lenses, are a common type of eyewear lens made from a light weight plastic material that offers good optical clarity. 
» Recommended Prescription Range: -4.00 to +4.00D.

Polycarbonate Lenses:
Polycarbonate Lenses are made from a thermoplastic material that is High Impact Resistant, Light Weight and has good UV protection.
» Impact Safety, Thinner and Lighter and meet the following Eyewear Standard.
» ANSI Z87.1:2010 High Velocity and High Mass Impact Safety Standard.
» Recommended Prescription Range: -5.00 to +5.00D.

Photochromic Lenses
Photochromic lenses are optical lenses that automatically darken in sunlight (UV light) and return to a clear state indoors, serving as both prescription glasses and sunglasses. They protect eyes from 100% of UV rays and reduce eye strain by adapting to changing light conditions.

Hard Coatings:
Lens Hard coatings act as a protective coating and enhances the performance and longevity of plastic Lenses.

Anti-Fog Coatings.
Anti-Fog and Anti-condensation coatings help prevent fog and condensation of water droplets on the lens surface.

	UNDERSTANDING FOG Fog consists of many water droplets. It is formed by ambient humidity which condenses into small droplets on a surface. There are different factors that influence the formation of fog: »  The temperature difference between two environments. »  The relative humidity of the warm environment the lens wearer has entered.
	AN EFFECTIVE SOLUTION AGAINST FOGGING Optifog is Essilor’s smart and unique anti-fog system: a lens with anti-fog top layers and an Optifog activator cloth with anti-fog molecules that activate the power of the Optifog lens. Just wipe your lenses as usual. The molecules in the activator cloth activate the coating on the lens to maintain the anti-fog properties, just by wiping your lenses!
